The foundation for your store tracking.
Build in tracking once – choose your tools freely
The Tracking Framework captures what happens in your store – from the product page viewed to the purchase – and passes it on to the analytics tools you connect. If a tool is added or removed, everything in the store itself stays as it is. The framework works in the background.
What the OPAL solves for you
The same data for all tools: every connected tool receives the same events – your reports match up.
Purchases even without the browser playing along: the completed purchase is captured server-side. If the module passes it on server-side, browser ad blockers can't interfere.
Combine tools freely: use several analytics tools at the same time and simply switch them on or off.
Part of the OPAL family
OPALs are building blocks from OXID eSales: a proven, solid foundation that needs to be adapted to your system landscape and integrated into your store.

Captured according to a common standard
The framework captures events according to the widely used Google Analytics schema, which most tracking tools understand.
Purchases captured directly in the store
Every purchase is captured directly in the store at the moment of the order, not only in the customer's browser. If the connected module also passes the data on directly from the store, ad blockers can't get in the way.
One event format for all tools
The framework defines which events exist and which data belongs to them. Where they go is determined by the connected module.
Nothing gets lost while loading
Events triggered before the analytics tool is ready in the browser are held back and delivered later instead of being lost. Even including it twice doesn't throw the tracking off.
Works in the background
The framework has no interface of its own in the admin area. It works in the background; its benefit becomes visible in the module built on top of it.
No data of its own, no settings
The framework stores nothing and creates no database tables or configuration. It collects the events and passes them on. Everything else happens in the connected module.
These tracking modules build on it
The Tracking Framework is the common foundation. The analytics modules build on it and share the same event format:
OPAL Google Tag Manager Integration
Passes the captured store events on to Google Tag Manager.
