Available items now, the rest follows.
Don't wait for the last item
If an order contains items with different availability, the available items ship right away and the rest follows. The OPAL splits the order into independently shippable partial deliveries – manually from the order or automatically by rule. The original order remains unchanged.
What the OPAL solves for you
Split an order into independently shippable partial deliveries – manually or automatically by rule.
Original order remains unchanged: splitting creates referenced sub-orders; what the customer ordered remains traceable.
Shipping method & tracking per partial delivery: parcel or freight forwarding, a separate tracking number – the customer is notified for each partial delivery.
Part of the OPAL family
OPALs are building blocks from OXID eSales: a proven, solid foundation that needs to be adapted to your system landscape and integrated into your shop.

Split manually within the order
In a "Partial deliveries" section of the order, you select quantities per line item – up to four target groups in one step, optionally with a note. Anything you don't select automatically forms its own remaining partial delivery, so the entire order stays represented.
Protection against over-splitting
A partial delivery can never be created for more than the quantity still remaining on the order – the order always stays fully and consistently represented.
Re-split later
Another split automatically takes the quantity from a partial delivery that is still open, without you having to discard it first. Units that have already been shipped or discarded remain untouched.
Correctable per unit
A planned partial delivery can be discarded individually; its quantity is released and can be split again. The overall status of the order is derived automatically from its partial deliveries.
Shipping method and tracking per partial delivery
Each partial delivery can have its own shipping method (parcel or freight forwarding) and its own tracking number including the expected delivery date – at the time of shipping or in advance, for example from an ERP. In the shipping email, the number appears as a clickable link.
Distribute shipping costs flexibly
By default, shipping costs remain on the original order. For B2B cases, they can also be split by merchandise value or charged in full per partial delivery.
