Invoice purchase within a clear framework.
Offer invoice purchase, keep open amounts under control
With Credit Limit Management, you define for each customer how much they may have outstanding. Every unpaid order counts, regardless of the payment method. This lets you offer invoice purchase with peace of mind, without open amounts growing unnoticed. Once the limit is reached, the customer is informed directly in checkout.
What the OPAL solves for you
Invoice purchase stays on offer, and the default risk per customer stays limited.
More leeway for trusted customers: individual limits per customer group or per customer.
You release individual orders selectively; the general limit stays as it is.
Part of the OPAL family
OPALs are building blocks from OXID eSales: a proven, solid foundation that needs to be adapted to your system landscape and integrated into your shop.

Features at a glance
OXID
<OPAL/>
Default limit by amount and/or count
A global limit for the maximum open amount, the number of open orders, or both. Each limit can be activated individually. An empty field switches it off and does not mean "0".
Different limits per customer group
For trusted customer groups, you assign a higher limit or exempt them from the limit entirely.
Individual limits per customer
A customer's own limit takes precedence. The order is unambiguous: customer limit before group limit before global default.
Releases for individual cases
You lift a customer's limit permanently or release only their next order. A one-time release is used up afterwards and does not silently remain in effect.
Check including the current cart
The check covers the open receivables plus the current cart, so the new order already counts. The block sits in the shop's own order validation, not just in the interface.
Overview of credit utilization
In the admin area, you see for each customer how much of their limit is used. After a payment is received, utilization drops accordingly.
Who is this OPAL for?
E-Commerce Manager
You offer invoice purchase with payment terms in your B2B shop and want to keep the default risk under control.
What the OPAL delivers here
Invoice purchase stays available as a payment method, and the risk per customer has a fixed upper limit. Trusted customers keep ordering with more leeway. You handle exceptions selectively case by case, without touching the rules for everyone.
