Buy online, pick up at the branch.
Your branches as pickup points in your store
Orders don't always have to be shipped: with Click & Collect, customers choose one of your branches as their pickup location in the checkout. The OPAL adds this to OXID eShop as a native shipping method – and you manage the branches themselves centrally in one place.
What the OPAL solves for you
Pickup in the checkout: customers choose “Click & Collect” as their shipping method and see your branches with address and opening hours.
Maintain branches only once: the locations are stored centrally in the Location Framework; here you simply mark them as a “pickup point”.
Less shipping, clear assignment: shipping costs are €0 by default, and every order permanently carries its selected branch.
Part of the OPAL family
OPALs are building blocks from OXID eSales: a proven, solid foundation that needs to be adapted to your system landscape and integrated into your store.

Pickup as a native shipping method
“Click & Collect / Pickup” appears in the checkout alongside the regular shipping options, with configurable shipping costs (default €0). Because it is a genuine shipping method of the store, the store’s country and cost rules apply automatically.
Branch selection with preselection and required choice
Once Click & Collect is selected, the pickup points appear with name, address and opening hours. If there is exactly one, it is preselected automatically; if there are several, a choice is required – customers cannot continue without selecting a branch.
Only appears when there is a pickup point
If there is no active pickup point, the shipping method is not shown at all. So pickup can never be selected without a pickup location.
Branch permanently linked to the order
The selected branch is permanently assigned to the order – with name, address and opening hours as they were at the time of ordering. It appears in the confirmation email, in the customer account and in the order overview in the admin area.
Manage branches centrally, simply mark them as pickup points
The location master data is stored centrally in the Location Framework; this OPAL simply marks a location as a “pickup point” so that it can be selected in the checkout. The same branch can then be a pickup location and appear on the dealer map at the same time – without entering the address twice.
Switch off a pickup location without deleting it
If you remove the “pickup point” mark from a location, it can no longer be selected in the checkout – effective immediately. The location itself remains and stays visible for other features – handy for a temporary closure, for example.
