Central configuration with a live model list
You maintain the API key and model per provider in one place. In the admin area, you fetch the currently available models directly from the provider – which also verifies the key – and pick the model without copying model names from the documentation.
Three providers behind one interface
Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Google (Gemini) can be used via the same access. You choose which provider to use in the module settings and can switch it there at any time.
Text, image and image analysis
The AI Connector provides three capabilities to the OPALs built on top of it: generating text, generating images and analyzing images, for example recognizing what a product photo shows. Which of these are used in your shop depends on the AI OPALs you use.
Only active when configured
Without a key set, the AI features stay cleanly inactive instead of failing. Through a uniform check, the modules built on top recognize whether usable access is available – and whether the active provider supports the required capability at all.
One interface for all AI modules
Future AI features build on the same client. If you switch providers or renew a key, the change applies immediately to all AI OPALs.
Capabilities cleanly separated
Not every provider can do everything: OpenAI and Google handle image generation, all three handle image analysis. Before the call, it is clear what the active provider can do, so a feature doesn't run into nothing but gives a clear notice instead.
