Preview of the closed storefront
Using a dedicated maintenance switch in the module, you open the storefront for approved IPs while the shop stays closed to the public
IP allowlist in the admin
You maintain the approved IPs – team, agency, test customers – in the admin area. The check runs server-side, not based on client-side information.
Usable behind a CDN and reverse proxy
If required, the OPAL evaluates the forwarding header only behind configured trusted proxies; otherwise the actual connection IP counts. A correct proxy configuration is a prerequisite.
Clearly recognizable preview mode
Anyone who passes the approval sees a small notice banner on every page – so a preview state isn't mistaken for live operation.
Maintenance page with optional countdown
Visitors who are not approved see a friendly maintenance page. If the Countdown OPAL is installed, it also shows the time remaining until the planned launch; without it, the maintenance page renders normally, just without a countdown.
No effect in live operation
When the maintenance switch is off, the module has no effect whatsoever – so there is no access risk in live operation. The maintenance page also keeps the legal notice and privacy policy accessible.
