From target price to closed quote.
Manage price negotiations in a structured way
When customers want to negotiate a price, it takes more than an email. Quote Management provides a complete flow for this – a request on the product page, structured negotiation with a status history and an accepted quote that is transferred straight to the cart at the negotiated price.
What the OPAL solves for you
Request on the product page: a “Request a quote” button with quantity, optional target price and message – also by email without a customer account.
Negotiate in a structured way: a two-way communication history with status history in the admin; customers without an account reply via a signed link.
Straight into the cart: an accepted quote lands in the cart at the negotiated price and goes through the normal checkout – the validity date is enforced.
Part of the OPAL family
OPALs are building blocks from OXID eSales: a proven, solid foundation that needs to be adapted to your system landscape and integrated into your shop.

Request on the product page
“Request a quote” with the desired quantity, an optional target price and a message – with or without a customer account. The customer receives a confirmation of receipt, you receive a notification. You decide which customer groups may send requests; everyone else doesn’t see the button at all.
Negotiate in the customer account or via link
Customers reply, accept or decline – logged in to their customer account or without an account via a secure link from the email. If required, a captcha protects the request (with the OXID Security module).
All requests at a glance in the admin
You see all requests in one list, filter by status and propose a quote with price, quantity and validity – or decline. The complete history can be traced at any time.
Extra for B2B – with the OXID Enterprise B2B Edition
Business customers request a quote for the entire cart, and you adjust the individual line items in the admin. All employees of a company see their company’s requests, and a quote is only sent out after approval by a second person (four-eyes principle). In the other editions, quotes can be requested for individual items.
Accepted quote straight into the cart
An accepted quote lands in the cart at the negotiated price and goes through the normal checkout. Once its validity has expired, it can no longer be purchased.
Quotes expire automatically
The shop automatically closes expired quotes and informs the customer – for this, your partner sets up a scheduled job once. Afterwards you can make a new quote at any time; the previous history is retained.

What the OPAL delivers here
